Three new Tamron lenses arrive at the end of October
Three new Tamron zooms – the 28-75mm f / 2.8 Di III VXD G2, 35-150mm f / 2-2.8 Di III VXD and 18-300mm f / 3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD – will be released on 28 October.

The new 28-75mm f / 2.8 Di III VXD G2 lens (model A063) is designed for Sony E-mount full frame mirrorless cameras, following the popular 28-75mm f / 2.8 Di III RXD lens (model A036 ) and retaining its compact size. It features a new optical construction with 17 elements in 15 groups, optimized to be compatible with the latest high resolution mirrorless cameras. Two LD (Low Dispersion) and GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lenses control optical aberrations and ensure high resolution over the entire zoom range. It also offers the soft, attractive bokeh that characterizes fast-aperture lenses.
Autofocus is driven by a fast VXD linear motor focusing mechanism that claims twice the speed of its predecessor. The minimum focus of 17cm is two centimeters closer than the previous lens and allows a maximum magnification ratio of 1: 2.7 with a working distance of around 4.4cm. This lens is compatible with Sony’s Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF functions and has a suggested retail price of AU $ 1599.

Also designed for the Sony E mount, the new 35-150mm f / 2-2.8 Di III VXD lens (model A058) is ideal for travel photography. Boasting a fast f / 2 maximum aperture and a wide zoom range, it features the VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focusing mechanism for high-speed autofocus. speed and high precision and incorporates a new design that includes four LD (low dispersion) and three GM (aspherical molded glass) lenses. Key features of the new lens also include improved grip, moisture resistant construction, fluorine coating on the front element, and a cap with a locking mechanism for added convenience. The suggested retail price for this lens is AU $ 2,299.

Designed for Fujifilm and Sony cropped sensor cameras, the new Tamron 18-300mm f / 3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD lens is the first 16.6x all-in-one zoom lens in this class. Covering 35mm equivalent focal lengths of about 27mm to 450mm. this versatile lens is suitable for a wide range of photographic genres. Its AF drive system uses Tamron’s VXD (Voice-coil eXtremetorque Drive) linear motor focus mechanism for superior silence and agility, while proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) stabilization allows it to be used. in low light conditions indoors and at night. The optical design contains 19 elements in 15 groups and includes three hybrid aspherical elements and four LD (low dispersion) lens elements to suppress optical aberrations. Moisture-resistant construction, a fluorine coating on the front element, and a zoom lock switch make it ideal for shooting outdoors. Both versions of this lens will be priced at AU $ 1199 (RRP).
