The Heart Foundation will provide free treatment to FF

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and the National Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute to treat valiant freedom fighters up to 75,000 Tk free of charge.

Additional Secretary of Ministry of Liberation War Affairs Ranjit Kumar Das and Secretary General of National Heart Foundation Khandoker Abdul Awal (Rizvi) on Thursday signed the MoU on behalf of their respective parties in the City Department conference room, a news release said. Release.

The MoU will remain in force for five years while the freedom fighters will receive the free treatment up to Tk 75,000 which will include medical advice, medication, bed, diet and nursing service.

In order to provide free medical services to the valiant freedom fighters, the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs issued a monetary expenditure policy for 2021 to spend 4% of rented income from government bazaars.

According to the policy, government hospitals at district and upazila level, medical colleges and 22 specialist hospitals can treat freedom fighters up to Tk 75,000 free of charge.

The 22 specialist hospitals are: Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and Hospital, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital, Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital, National Cancer Research Institute and Hospital, National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute, National Kidney Institute and Hospital, National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease and Hospital, National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital, National Institute of Chest Disease and Hospital, National Institute of Neuroscience Hospital, National Institute of Mental Health and Hospital, Specialty Hospital Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser in Khulna, Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Eye Hospital and Training in Gopalganj, Chattogram Medical College Hospital, Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, Rangpur Medical College Hospital, Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barisa l, National Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute, Dhaka and BIRDEM General Hospital, Dhaka.
