District Metals Corp Reports Gold at Exceptional Grade and Significant Zinc Equivalent Interception on the Tomtebo Property in Sweden

District Metals Corp. (TSX-V:DMX) announced encouraging drill results from its 750 meter (m) spring 2022 drill program on its polymetallic Tomtebo property in south-central Sweden.

The company said drill hole TOM22-038, which targeted the massive sulphide lens of the Steffenburgs Zone down-plunging between two previous drill holes, intersected 25.5m at 8.2% zinc equivalent ( ZnEq), including 11.1 m at 11.1% ZnEq and 3.6 m at 15.8% ZnEq.

District also reported a gold bearing interval with a favorable grade of 384 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 855 g/t silver over 0.4 m, capped at 10 g/t gold for the ZnEq calculation. .

District CEO Garrett Ainsworth said the company continues to develop the Steffenburgs zone with another high-grade polymetallic intersection in hole TOM22-038.

“High gold values continue to be observed above and below the Steffenburgs zone massive sulphide lens,” he said.

“The bonanza gold occurrence of 384 g/t over 0.4 m in TOM22-038 now becomes an even more attractive target as we seek to follow where volcanic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization is open. deep and partially along strike.”

A second hole, TOM22-037B, was drilled 655m northeast of the historic Tomtebo mine to test a high magnetic anomaly along the VMS mineralized horizon of the Tomtebo mine, but did not return. meaningful assay results, the company said.

District’s mandate is to research, explore and develop potential mineral properties through a disciplined scientific approach in order to create shareholder value.
