Claimant information will remain hidden in Honeywell’s asbestos fight

By Vince Sullivan (May 13, 2022, 3:27 p.m. EDT) – A Pennsylvania bankruptcy judge has ordered that information identifying the asbestos trust plaintiffs in the Chapter 11 case of a Honeywell unit be redacted during of an upcoming lawsuit over Honeywell’s claims the trust is being mismanaged.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Thomas P. Agresti’s Thursday order in Erie said no documents including plaintiffs’ names and other personal information were filed in the case of North American Refractories Co., or NARCO , and therefore are not court records for the purpose of the sections of the Bankruptcy Code governing public disclosure.
